The Northcutt Coat Of Arms....Maybe

The Northcutt Coat of Arms hereby illustrated is
officially documented in Burke's General Armory. The original description of the
arms (shield) is as follows:
"AR. three cross-crosslets in bend, sable".
When translated the blazon also describes the original colors of the Northcutt Arms as:
"Silver: three black crosses, posed diagonally"
Above the shield and helment is the crest which is described as:
"On a red hat, turned up ermine, a silver stag walking"
Northcutt Crest Motto: Christi crux est mea lux. "The cross of Christ in my light"
**NOTE**
I found this "Northcutt Coat of Arms" in a book entitled, The Amazing Story of the Northcutts in America, Sharon Taylor, 1983, Halbert's, Inc. This is one of "those" books that promises to tell you all about your surname and ancestors. In actuality, it is a generic book of your surname composed mostly of names and addresses of others with your surname. You get the feeling you are reading a telephone book. Having said that, I do not swear on my stack of genealogy books that this is the "real" Northcutt Coat of Arms. Northcutt and Allied Families, Dollie Northcutt & Amelia Sparkman Castleberry, 1938, page 7, describes The Northcote Family, County of Devon, England and the "Northcote Arms" and Crest. This description matches the description noted above. Therefore, I must conclude that the above "Northcutt Coat of Arms" rightfully belongs to the Northcote family. Whether the Northcutts are descendants of the Northcote or another family has yet to be proven, to my knowledge. But, I find this Coat of Arms interesting and thought it would be nice to share with you! Also, I am hoping that no one finds this "Northcutt Coat of Arms" and takes it to be the gospel truth.
