#212 Sept 4, 1855
Settlement with Adrian Northcut, admr. of Richard Hobbs, decd.
Total cash was turned over to Esther Hobbs, widow. Some debts remained.
#245 Sept 4, 1856
Settlement of A. Northcut, Treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the
Altamont Academy. Tutition was paid by Jesse Sandford, John Jenkins, Joseph
Nunley(?) as guardian of Layne's(?) heirs. Paid James B. Ritchey and At Gitze for
teaching.
Settlement Book 2
#52 No Date. L. H. Northcut, Guardian of Lou and Jane, minor
children of Robert and Margaret Caldwell. Includes report of money furnished to pay
Sheriff of Coffee Co. for summoning Jane and Lous Caldwell. Stops abruptly.
Apparently incomplete.
#64 26 Jan 1892 A. and W. E. Northcut Administrators of John Northcutt Decd. Have been settling estate since at least 1882. Includes receipts from Wm., H. B. and L. H. Northcut.
#95 21 Mar 1895 L. H. Northcut Guardian of B. S. Cagle's minors Hallie and Hilda. Hallie has married A. Barnes.
#98 24 May 1895 P. D. Northcut, Guardian of Marks and Bee D. Northcut, minor heirs of John Northcut. Recvd payment from W. E. Northcut. Payment made to A. Northcut. Wards are now of age, this is a final settlement.

5 Aug 1844 pg 1 Adrien Northcutt, appointed Justice of Peace
1 Sept 1845 pg 32 A road from county line in Munley's Cove to Altamont ?mad? their report.
All hands in Hunleys and Northcutts Cove to work and keep same in
repair.
6 Apr 1846 pg 40 Ordered by the court that Adrin Northcutt furnish a sledge hammer and crowbar for use of the mountain roads, and abide the allowance he reafier to be made by the county court.
3 July 1848 pg 85 Ordered by the court that Adrien Northcutt be allowed the sum of three dollars for furnishing a stone hammer for the use of the two roads leading up the mountain from Nunley's Cove, in a direction to Altamont, to be paid out of any money in the county treasury, not otherwise appropriated.
3 Apr 1849 pg 101 Ordered by the court that Adrian Northcutt be allowed the sum of eleven dollars and forty cents to be paid out of any moneys in the county treasury not otherwise appropriated for moneys _layed_ out and expended as commissioners of Grundy County for printers and lawyer fees.

Jul 1851 pg 204 This day Archibald Northcutt came into open court with John Tipton and Riley D? Roberts his securities, who acknowledged themselves to owe and stand indebted to State of TN in the sum of five hundred dollars jointly and severally to be _levid_ of their respective goods and _chattels_ lands and _tennements_ to the use of Grundy County. Buy to be void on conditions that the said Archibald Northcutt shall keep a bastard child named Beersheba Scott, begotton of the body of one Louisa Scott, from becoming a county charge, within three years from this date and it is considered by the court that the said Louisa Scott recover against the said Archibald Northcutt the sum of twenty four dollars and also the Northcutt the costs of this procedure, for which execution may issue.
5 July 1852 pg 216 This day Stephens W. Griswold, A. Northcutt, John Hobbs and John Northcutt were appointed a Jury of view by the court at the June term, to mark out and lay off a road beginning at the head of the Pound Branch near Wilburn Fults House on AD Road ----
5 Apr 1853 pg 248 Ordered by the court that William E. Northcutt be appointed overseer of the Hickory Creek Road.--- Ordered by the court that John Northcutt be appointed overseer of the road from where the corporation line crosses the Jasper Road, ---

Northcutt be appointed overseer of the Hickory Creek Road from the forks of the McMinnville Hickory Creek Road ----- Ordered by the court that John Northcutt be appointed overseer of the road from where the corporation line crosses the McMinnville Road there where the corporation line crosses the Jasper Road ---
p 306, pg 261 This day the court appointed Archibald Northcutt guardian for George Perry Myeres an orphan boy aged about sixteen years of age until he arrives to the age of twenty one years---
6 Feb 1854 pg 273, p 322 Ordered by the court that John Northcutt be appointed overseer of all the streets and allies belonging to the town of Altamont.
5 Feb 1855 pg 313 Ordered by the court that the following named persons be appointed a jury of view to mark off and lay off a road beginning at the county line between Warren and Grundy County on the road leading from A. Northcutts residence along and in the bounds of the present road making such alterations as they may think necessary and continue up said cove the nearest and most practical _rout_ to the limits of the corporation of the town of Altamont intersecting with the road called the Northcut Road at the corporation limits of the said town.
pg 321 This day the jury of view who were appointed a jury of view to lay off and mark a road from the county line by way of A. Northcutts and on to the town of Altamont made their report which is in the words following, towist: We the jury of view after being duly sworn have viewed, marked and laid off a road leading from the county line by way of General A. Northcuts house up the mountain from thence to the corporation line of Altamont the nearest and the best route and agreably to the marks as set forth, and it is further ordered by the court that Archibald Northcut be appointed overseer of said road and have the following hands (towit, Joseph Nunley, Calvin Myers, H. B. Northcut, Houston Northcut, A. Northcut, J. H. Tallman, ----- ) to work and keep said road in repair provided A. Northcut keep said road in repair and will make the road up the mountain and said road shall be a first class road.
22 June 1855 pg 333 This day Archibald Northcut tendered his resignation as guardian of George Perry Myers.
pg 340 This day the court admitted John Northcutt Jailor for Grundy County
pg 349 This day the Sheriff of Grundy County brought into open court an orphan by the
name of Andrew Gains, which he was ordered to do so at a previous court. Whereupon
the court thought fit and did bind the said boy unto William E. Northcutt
he having entered into bond and approved security as the law directs.
Ordered by the court that Ensley Smith and Anderson Northcut be added to
Wait Humble's list of hands.
